SOUND OFF / 2009

Too little too late

Posted: Thursday, April 08, 2010 by csafford

Well more than a year and a half and $45 billion in taxpayer bailout money later a Congressional Financial Crises Inquiry Committee finally called upon Citigroup’s ex top brass, former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin and ex CEO Charles Prince to explain what happened regarding the meltdown of this company during the sub prime disaster we’ve all now paid for.  After these two multi millionaires danced around questions and took a small amount of blame while pointing most of it elsewhere members of the committee thanked them for their service.  Thanked them for their service!  Are you kidding me.  Guess the committee members are looking for campaign contributions.  Always wonderful to see government working for the best interests of the people.
