There’s bad and then there’s really bad.  New York Governor David Paterson is really, really, really bad.  

Say what you will about corruption a.k.a Rod Blagovevich.  Or about deceitfulness in your marriage and personal life a.k.a. Elliott Spitzer and Mark Sanford.  Don’t get me wrong, those are pretty bad.  But if the facts as they are emerging hold up Paterson is likely the worst Governor ever.

To use your position as the State Governor to intimidate, harass and attempt to change the testimony of a domestic abuse victim so you can save one of your cronies, well that’s about as bad as it gets.  Paterson needs to resign and when he does face criminal charges.  In a year of low politicians he’s set the lowest bar of all.
